Haringey African Schools Partnership Trustee
Tonye Philemon is the resident Pastor of Freedom’s Ark church, a vibrant community church based at the Tottenham Town Hall. He also manages the Tottenham Foodbank and the Community Foodhub. Between both projects, over 600 families are supported weekly with food supplies.
He is also the chief operating officer of the Peace Alliance. The Peace Alliance is well known for its work across all communities to engender community cohesion, partnerships and peace whilst also working with vulnerable people, victims of crime, their families and young people.
Tonye is a member of the Haringey Standing Advisory Council on Religious Education (SACRE) in his role as a representative of Haringey Pentecostal churches and The Peace Alliance. He currently coordinates Pray Haringey, a unity movement of churches in the borough, the main objective is to inspire, encourage and promote prayer for our community.
