Independent Safeguarding Chair
Chris worked as a police officer for 32 years in London and Hertfordshire. Using his police experience in child and adult protection he has, since retirement, working with Local Government and the Health Service as a safeguarding professional.
Chris helped to design the Hope in Tottenham Mentoring programme. With his insight, Chris created a programme that offers the young people of Haringey an opportunity to access social capital. This can help them start out on a career or access an education opportunity that might otherwise be difficult to reach.
Chris continues to advise, at an informal level, HiH’s mentoring programme, with his major work ensuring our safeguarding procedures and responsibilities are properly carried out as Safeguarding is front and centre of all HiH activity.
