Verse of the Week
Work Hard in all you do… work at it with all your heart, as though you were working for the Lord, and not for human beings. Remember that the Lord will give you as a reward what he as kept for his people.
(Ecclesiastes 9:10 & Colossians 3:23-24)
The Hope in Tottenham Family was pleased to reconvene in the Lilywhite House in a coming together that celebrated the New Year as well as our ever-growing community.
Opening with a reading of Hebrews 10: 24-25, our first reading of the year reminded the HiT family that these Sunday morning meetings are to encourage us to love one another in our community and to remind us just how important meeting together regularly is.
With the children moving into their separate discussion groups, the body of the family was left to ponder this week’s discussion topic; ‘What are the best ways to start a new year?’
Answers varied from thankful prayer and reflection, to setting meaningful, achievable and time-limited goals for us to achieve in the year ahead.
With our time together for this week coming to an end, attention turned to the lunch that was on offer after the meeting.
Hope in Tottenham would like to make a special thanks Nathaniel for setting up a delivery of Chapati’s in his absence for the family to enjoy, as well as all those who brought food for us all to enjoy and volunteers who helped make this lunch happen.
