How your donation will be used
For the work of Hope in Haringey to expand in range and effectiveness we need fresh funding throughout the year.
You can either give an ‘unrestricted’ gift which we can decide how to use in the most strategic way, or specify which programme you particularly want to support.
Our Counselling Programme is self–funded, but all other programmes need equipment, staff and in the case of youth work ‘special event’ monies.
Hope in Haringey is entitled to reclaim the tax made on gifts by UK taxpayers. This means that, if you are a UK taxpayer, your donation can increase by 25% – at no extra cost to you.
Alternatively, to give to us directly please contact manager@hopeinharingey.com for our bank details and a gift aid form
* You must pay an amount of UK Income tax and/or Capital Gains Tax for each year (6 April one year to 5 April the next) that is at least equal to the tax that Hope in Haringey and any other charities or CASCs you support will reclaim on your donations for that tax year (Council tax and VAT do not count). Hope in Tottenham will claim 25p in tax for every £1 gift aided.
Please note: We are working closely with our banking and CAF partners to swiftly update their records from ‘Hope in Tottenham’ to ‘Hope in Haringey – rooted in Tottenham’. Please rest assured that for the time being, account names marked ‘Hope in Tottenham’ are legitimate and are being used by the charity until these records are updated.
If you are ever in doubt about where your donation is heading, please get in touch via director@hopeinharingey.com. We will be happy to speak with you.
