Communications and Police Engagement Manager
Omar joined Hope in Tottenham in October 2018 after working as Editor for Black History Month Magazine. Supported by the charity Omar returned to higher education, studying Media and Communications at Coventry University where he secured a First Class and the course tutors prize. At HiH he looks to invest his social capital into the area he grew up in.
In December 2023, Omar became Police Engagement Manager, supporting the programme by expanding his communications manager role and in 2025 would go on to lead its Mentoring programme before becoming Hope in Haringey’s Mentoring and Engagements Manager in 2026.
