The Tottenham based Charity expands office footprint, enhancing experiences for visiting guests and new officer team members

The new room has enabled HiH Officers to work collaboratively and independently in the new space.
Hope in Haringey expanded its office footprint last month, taking on new office space within The Trampery to now include a new dedicated meeting room.

The space also allows for impromptu face-to-face meetings, encouraging officers to lead on their own work.
Located in next door to its main office, Room 21 is now used by Hope in Haringey as a dedicated working space. Primarily used by its new staff team, HiH’s officers use this new space to work collaboratively, enabling them to model the charity’s ‘shadow working’ policy.
This policy, which is currently being demonstrated by all members of the team, encourages junior team members to lead on their schemes of work, with direct line managers providing feedback and support.
On how this new space has impacted attitudes to work, Communications Officer, Tahir Tony said the new room “gives me more freedom and allows [me] to work more efficiently.”
Room 21 also serves a second purpose. Called the ‘Meeting Room’, the new office space also serves as a formal gathering room for HiH guests. This has been particularly useful for the charity when local businesses become too busy to meet privately or are closed.
The success of this room has also encouraged HiH to consider how the room can be used in future. As discussed in a recent management meeting, the new room will allow the charity’s Employability Mentoring programme to directly host work experience weeks in the new academic year.
